The Ministry of Health has marked the Professional Day of Medical Workers
June 17 is observed in our country as the Professional Holiday of Medical Workers. On the occasion of this commemorative day, established by the Decree of National Leader Heydar Aliyev dated June 4, 2001, the Ministry of Health organized a series of events.
To mark the professional holiday, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, along with heads of the Ministry’s structural divisions and subordinate institutions, visited the Alley of Honor. During the visit, they paid tribute to the cherished memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at his grave.
Tributes were also paid at the graves of the distinguished ophthalmologist-scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, prominent statesman and scholar Aziz Aliyev, and scholar Tamerlan Aliyev, whose memories were honored with profound respect.
The Ministry of Health delegation subsequently visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid tribute to the heroic sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and laid flowers at their graves.
As part of the commemorative events, profound respect was expressed for the memory of individuals who made significant contributions to the national and spiritual values of the Azerbaijani people, the traditions of statehood, and the development of the healthcare sector.
