A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with the leading Belgian companies' representatives for medical equipment production. Michel Peetermans, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium to our country, also participated in the meeting.

In his speech, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev noted that the cooperation between our countries had developed dynamically in recent years. It was emphasized that regular meetings of the heads of state and mutual visits of government members play an essential role in the development of Azerbaijani-Belgian relations in various areas.

Emphasizing the existence of productive cooperative relations between our countries in the field of healthcare, the minister said that the Belgian Healthcare Service, known for its high-quality treatment, is rightfully considered one of the best in the world: "At the same time, Belgium is one of the world's leading countries in the production and sale of pharmaceutical and medical equipment."

Kirill Makarenko, vice-president of IBA for Russia and CIS countries, and Yohan Foke, representative of "Orfit Industries", emphasized their interest in raising cooperation with Azerbaijan. It was brought to the attention that IBA develops and manufactures high-tech medical equipment and software solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases, and Orfit Industries is the world's leading equipment supplier for the immobilization and positioning of patients.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed how to develop cooperation further.
