On March 1, a scientific-practical conference on "Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy Course: Spine and Knee Regions" was held by the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Ministry of Health and the Azerbaijan Orthopedic Society.

The conference was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, Ilgar Gasimov, the Chief Physician of by the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Ministry of Health, Kamil Eyvazov, representatives from the Embassy of Turkiye in our country, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency in Baku, delegates from Azerbaijan's higher education and medical institutions, renowned Turkish medical experts in this field, including professors Vedat Sahin, Muhammet Baybars Ataoglu, and Ulunay Kanatlı, as well as associate professors Baran Sarıkaya, Mustafa Özer, Mehmet Ali Tokgöz, Insi Hazal Ayas, and others.

The event began with the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey, followed by a moment of silence to honor the cherished memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.

The purpose of the conference was to assess the achievements and capabilities in the field of traumatology and orthopedics, facilitate fruitful exchange of ideas on the discussed topics, optimize the activities of by the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Ministry of Health, promote successful experience exchange among specialists in our country, explore opportunities for the application of innovative practices, and create conditions for joint activities between many medical institutions and universities, especially those located in Turkiye, in the future. Mutual collaboration and joint efforts are among the important directions of the event. To this end, conditions will be created for the implementation of significant scientific research by Azerbaijani traumatologists and orthopedists, and proposals will be made.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Health Ilgar Gasimov greeted the participants on behalf of Health Minister Teymur Musayev and emphasized the relevance of the topic discussed at the conference. According to him, several important tasks are set before the national healthcare system: "Among these, it is important to note the improvement of service quality and healthcare accessibility. Most importantly, it is the elevation of satisfaction levels among the population with medical services. To achieve this, healthcare systems must utilize all resources of medical science. Continuous medical education plays a significant role in this endeavor."

I hope that the Scientific-Practical Conference will be beneficial for each participant, fostering productive exchange of ideas around the discussed topics," concluded the Deputy Minister of Health.

The scientific-practical conference, attended by nearly 200 physicians, featured presentations on new directions in medicine and discussions on the current scientific and practical aspects of traumatology. The conference continued with panel sessions, where experts from Azerbaijan and Turkey delivered presentations on topics such as "Arthroplasty of the Knee Joint," "Surgical Repair Techniques for Meniscus," "Arthroscopy of the Shoulder Joint," and others.

At the end of the event, discussions were held around the topic, and questions were answered.
