The Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, met with a delegation from the Global Fund led by Valeria Grishechkina, Senior Fund Portfolio Manager (SFPM) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA).

During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing cooperation projects between Azerbaijan and the Global Fund in the healthcare sector, the results achieved to date, and prospects for future collaboration.

Minister Teymur Musayev highly appreciated the contribution of the Global Fund’s projects in Azerbaijan to the development of public health. He particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation in combating infectious diseases, strengthening preventive measures, and enhancing the resilience of the healthcare system.

Valeria Grishechkina spoke positively about the healthcare reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan and the outcomes of the programs carried out with the support of the Global Fund. She expressed the Global Fund’s interest in continuing bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects in the future.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation status of programs supported by the Global Fund, priority areas, and opportunities for future cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest and expressed their confidence that the successful cooperation would continue in the future.
